Song Page
Genre: Ambient Length: 6:24 BPM: 90 Bit Rate: 192 File Size: 9.22mb
Song Description
An uplifting ambient piece that was built from cut up samples of bass harmonics, mixed with heavy percussion and and a self similar layering of synthesizers. The higher melody is also being played by the other synths, but scaled down in time so each note is played longer at each layer. One of these synth lines takes the melody and extends it across the whole length of the song.
This piece of music was inspired by fractals where you often see repeating patterns at different scales,

and recursion, like the Koch Curve / Snowflake:

Enjoy!

Like the flow, rhythm and style.
Reminds me of BOC a little.
What monitors are you using?
The upper 'mid' range sounds a bit cloudy.
Other than that the sound quality is good.

Hi A Bit Crusher - thanks for checking out the new toon.
Hi Sub - thanks for the listen, glad you like it. I have to use my headphones now, I usually only get time to work on music when Gid is asleep. The EQing was difficult on this one due to the bass harmonics, and the thick sounding pads. After mixing and mastering it down several times, I felt this was the best I could do. The monitors I have are called Event 20/20.

Hi Gideon!
Very nice soothing track
I´m listening on my Sennheiser 280 pro headphones and it sounds like a very balanced mix.
Really like the slow intro and the way it builds into a kinda of Tosca mix, ever heard of them?
Have a bit of a hangover today so this track is perfect.
Only critique would be that it could do with a b part somewhere along the line but otherwise i dig it!

I'm not going to deny that I'm biased about this artist... ...but this is one of my favorite tracks he's released in a long time. Good job Honey!

I agree. Good track. I listen with M-Audio AV40's and it sounds fine to me.
