ALbum "Roof Came Off House" release due soon by California Smile
Former high school death metal garage band shifts members moves toward prog rock, adds some more members and instruments including synth, keyboards, viola, violin odd percussion, audience noise and loops. They keep portions of their heritage for alluring edge and mix with assorted jazz elements, epic journey themes and avant-garde Dada-ist sprinkles. Some delightful filtering mixing and mastering channels this into cuts with a memorable difference. It will be interesting to see where this group goes from here. Happy to come across their (2) tracks here but most info (and more cuts) seem to be on the dreaded MySpace page.
