Caffeine: A Cure for Baldness?

New research in the International Journal of Dermatology concludes that caffeine is "a stimulator of human hair growth" (see journal abstract).
Scientists estimate up to 60 cups a day would be needed for significant amounts to reach follicles in the scalp. Instead of drinking it - it seems you need to rub a caffeine-rich solution into the scalp.
To test the idea, a Dr Fischer took scalp biopsies from 14 men in the early stages of hair loss. He extracted hair follicles and placed them in test tubes with solutions containing different levels of caffeine.
The samples were left in the laboratory for up to eight days to monitor growth. At the end of the experiment, caffeine had boosted the length of the hairs by between 33 per cent and 40 per cent.

Actually when I was visiting Gideon & Lou in da city a' Sac, I told him about caffiene soap. It's a bar of soap that gives you the same thing a cup of joe does! Body hair? anyone?
I believe it's called shower shock er something like that... I'd want to believe that a shampoo is under research already...
