Mmmmm..... beer....
I love it when it's on sale.
I just got myself 12 cans of Molson Canadian (tallboys) for $21.95 A bargain in this neck o' da woods.
Not sure what that converts to in your currency... but here it translates into roughly 5.6 litres of beer (473ml X 12cans).

Molson Canadian is a premium lager btw... and damn good beer!

Well, I tend to be the beer buyer in the family, so I can tell you what the suds are going for here...
We like dark Mexican beers (yum!) and can usually get a twelve-pack of Dos XX Amber Lager for $12 - $14. I try not to pay more than that unless I am having a 'treat' and buying myself some Stella Artois, and that can run $7 or $8 a six pack. Negro Modello can sometimes be found on sale for $7, but it's usually closer to $9.
The local Trader Joes carries nice beers for CHEAP! But I can't get out to thier stores too often. Today was an exception, however, and I was able to pick up a nice Bohemian Lager and a Heffe for just $4.99 a six pack. Wheee!
I guess you guys know what Gideon and I will be doing this evening!

Also... it is possible to get cheaper beer than what I bought. Here it's referred to as "buck a bottle" type stuff and is the most god awful beer. But it sells like crazy round here. Some people just have no taste.
I'll stick with Molson Canadian. It may be expensive but it's worth it.

Past favorites of mine have been Fat Tire, Guinness and yes, for a while I even drank 'pee pee water'...also known as Corona beer.
A real treat for us is going out to the local micro breweries. I like my beers strong, flavorful, not bitter and with a crisp finish. If it's all that, I don't care HOW MUCH IT COSTS!

my favorite beer is Sierra Nevada pale ale (and other seasonal flavors of theirs). 6 pack (bottles) for for about $8.99 here. used to get it all the time, not so much these days though, since we've been drinking a lot more beer (thanks to the house work) and that's fairly expensive.
luckily, the store in town sells Yuengling black & tans at $5.05 for a sixer of bottles - deal!
if it's a real special occasion, I'll look for Fat Tire, Rogue, or Dogfish Head. mmmm.... but those are pricey.
I was just up in CT for a buddy's special party and he had a keg of Long Trail (VT) blackberry wheat and it was really really good!

Molson Canadian is crap. It's brewed by the same company as Coor's, and tastes like it, too.

Ever had anything from stone? I drink alot of stone beer. Sierra Nevada is a pretty good beer. Rogue is great. Never had Dogfish Head, but I've seen it in the store. And Fat Tire is alright.

Here in San Diego, we have several very good micro breweries. It's nice to head out and get a fresh one
we have:
San Diego Brewing Company Karl Strauss (several locations) Gordon Biersch Rock Bottom Brewery Callahans Taylors (was Terrific Pacific Brewery) Stone Brewing Company
I've been to all but the Stone one, which I just found out about.

You guys all just missed "beers on the bay" an annual event here in my sector. I was handing out fliers for the event and was payed 100 bucks to tell people at the wharf "Beer tasting!"
It was a beer ship where you can go onto an old battle cruiser and walk around listening to good music and puking off the deck while trying over 50 different beers from around the globe.
I had to go to work that day though.

MmmM I do like beer. The domestic beer here is pretty cheap in my opinion. 24-pack of Bud Light is 12 dollars. Or even better yet, a dirty 30 is like 6 or 7 dollars. I don't drink to often, just at parties, but I like just about anything and everything. Had some Ice House the other day... I like that to. I also like Killians, Corona, Red Stripe... Mmm how I enjoy that one. Rolling Rock is good, along with this other beer... I can't remember what it's called... but I know it had a puzzle on the cap and the bottle was shaped like a keg with a bee on the label... any idea's?

Mickeys Big Mouth - that's a malt liquor
From Wikipedia... Malt liquor is an American term referring to a type of beer that has a high alcohol content and is therefore considered too alcoholic to be marketed as "beer." In the UK, similarly-made beverages are dubbed super-strength lager

Well not a party really, but my high school biology class went on a school sponsored tour of the SF local Anchor Steam Brewery http://www.anchorbrewing.com/ I don't remember much about it.... but then maybe that was because of the hash we smoked in the school basement beforehand.
Check out Anchor Steam Brewery website for some nifty history of brewing in SF http://www.anchorbrewing.com/san_francisco/
