Yes, I am still quite alive and doing well. Much has changed in my life since I've last posted, I'm now at a new school in Orlando, in the Digital Media program here (UCF). It's only been a semester but I've learned a lot of cool shit already!
Anyway I've updated 2 of my old songs, and I think they sound a good deal better. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Ay! Good to see you back~ I liked the change of volume on the Dreaming, it's not as overpowering and shrill sounding as the other track- extra percussion effects and a hall reverb... Good work, in fact I bet that was one of your main focuses on both of those two tunes huh? It sounds much much better for me.

I wouldn't say that it was a "main focus" but it just turned out that those huge reverb hits (which are pretty much becoming a standard in my songs) fit in well. Thanks for your comments!! -- as far as First Contact being shrill sounding ...... yeah it is quite the intense song, but I don't like that it's coming across as overpowering :/
is it just too loud in general or are there certain frequencies that are jumping out?

Actually in First contact, I feel it's fine and it fits the mood for sure. The dreaming was the one I felt was too high amplitude wise when you get to the climax area... the triplet synth... That was the only thing that made me turn down my car stereo was when it got to that spot in the dreaming- because I like to listen to music loud. It would usually pierce my ears just right etc.
But you definitely fixed it! It's much easier sounding and it seems as though you nailed it for me. Very cool reggae sound you aqcuired for the mood.
Oh! and when I said "your other track" I meant your older "the Dreaming" soundtrack.

First Contact: This track is perfect for video game, very busy and well produced, although me being a 'bass junkie' i would have added a bit more low end to the track.
Dreaming: Awesome! I love to hear 'modern' dub tracks. such an under represented genre these days (at least in New York)
Thanks for sharing!

The Dreaming -
Just added it to my DUB mix. Beautiful track, love the wastie voices. Maybe a mix where you treat the piano part more like a "traditional" dub piece - more drop ins/outs and echos.
