The Flickr pix are great!

Thanks guys! Now that it's all over they're supposed to be fixing our garden. Except... ugh... the fake brick's all gone and they have this huge fuckin' piece of plastic dropcloth where our wall was for two days now. Rolling Eyes You can't really see in, but jeez it's freakin' plastic sheet.

And yesterday the upstairs neighbor got locked out of her apartment on the terrace right above, while her baby screamed and they used one of the cranes to get some guys up there to unscrew her door.
Laughing

Just want things to get back to normal WTF? so that I can sit back there and drink cheers
in the usual Brooklyn din.

And hey today I'm da famous! Alex Ross, music critic for the New Yorker magazine blogged about me. Smokin'!

Radiohead eve

That new album has some pretty good songs on it btw...

Cool, right on.

Wow...sounds like you have many flavors of craziness going on right now!

Thanks for keeping us posted, Harrington. I feel like I am living the Brooklyn life vicariously through you and Elsie. Smokin'!

All you fucking lurkers get to posting! Now! Twisted Evil

So the latest is that they're starting to work on the fence cuz there ain't nothing there now but a plastic sheet and now we found out that the security guard who was supposed to guard the street didn't show up and their company has been fired. Just never ends. The crazy lady who lives in the brownstone is blaming the movie crew for every crack in her house even though they barely went inside. I think she may end up mysteriously dead of unknown circumstances soon.

Some pretty good pics of the acting (I was at work) in front of the fence.

Brooklyn Eagle Story

One of our German friends said she saw Brad Pitt jump over it on German TV.

whoa harrington in full effect! excitement! i forget, you and elsie are in brooklyn heights now?
i, for one, am making a conscious effort to poke my head in here more often.

Hey Ryan! Yeah we got kicked out of our Park Slope place 3 years ago by our 'friends' who decided they'd rather make a quick million than allow us to continue to pay almost nothing in rent forever. They never had the heart once in 16 years to raise our rent, but they told us to GET OUT YOU HAVE 2 MONTHS (which was illegal) as soon as they had a prospective buyer.

So the iron fence is back but there's still a hole in our concrete. Buildings will be repainted next week. Things are kind of getting back to normal. Brooklyn is so weird through. Mosque across the street, Yemeni, they're OK first generation Americans. Our apartment is right off of the sidewalk so from our bedroom you can hear people talking in a hundred languages as they walk by. Kinda cool....

Anyways, we get through watching Lock Stock and the 2 Smoking Barrels - cool film - and we hear these hushed Arabic voices - directly outside our window. Blah blah blah shablalh blah blah 10 points next time blah blah shabla 20 points. Look outside and there's like 6 guys all setting up some type of gambling operation or some shit. I just smiled and they waved and walked away. Gotta be a little crazy to take this shit.

Elsie's dad died a couple of weeks ago. The New York Times has a story about him! Shocked

Very Happy

Nice to see you back on the site.

I thought of you while I was working on my Lucy scale series of songs, since I had no clue what I was doing with the scale. I did get some great remixes out of the project.

Now if only Hyperdriver would make a guest drive by posting.
not an Obliminal thought in his head

Park Slope is a cool neighborhood. A friend of ours opened a book store there last year, across from Bergen Bagles by the subway stop. Cool store, we've been up to visit several times for readings. Adam has excellent taste and lots o' rarities and oddball stuff.

yeah ... long time Smokin'!

Yo Yorky! Very Happy

Doof, Park Slope was a cool neighborhood, but it's become completely unlivable now thanks to the hyper-gentrification and the infamous Park Slope mommies (insanely aggressive rich mothers who take over 7th Avenue - trying doing a search for 'Park Slope Mommy' and see what you get). Laughing

Long time residents have been fleeing it for 3 years. Of course the same NY newbies who still think the East Village is cool find Park Slope amazing - because it's so close to one of NYC's most beautiful parks and the nice brownstones. But the scene is just pure yech... Elsie can't even stand to go near there, and she used to live on President Street 30 years ago.

Anyways, that's our hardcore attitude about it. NYC in general is untenable. We're actively seeking a tropical escape!

Listen on Artist Server and visit my homepage.

i was reading my newspaper thursday and suddenly i see Jeff's "filming a movie in the backyard" photos!
Shocked
then i read the article, turns out Jeff has a dutch neighbour, who (obviously) also shoot some pics of Brad Pitt, Malkovich etc. Smile

Yeah some German friends of ours told us they saw Brad Pitt jumping over our fence on their local news. Weird how this celebrity shit is so out of control... crazy We try and try to ignore it and then it comes to your neighborhood!
Laughing
