That's me on the left. The picture is from 83. The guitarist next to me is William Tucker who went on to play with Ministry, Pigface and did some work on the soundtrack of the movie Pi.
Now I am rounder and have less hair.

Yup - The band was called Lunchmeat 2000, it was actually made up of 2 bands, Groceries and Regressive Aid. I was in the Groceries and Tucker was in Regressive Aid. The 2 bands were very friendly and formed Lunchmeat 2000 as a way of diffusing the who is gonna headline when we play together at gigs question.
So the deal was Lunchmeat was always the headliner and we would alternate the other 2 opening act slots.
Tucker is no longer with us. The other members of Regressive Aid were Sim Cain and Andrew Weiss, who both went on to play in Gone and then the first version of the Rollins Band. Sim is active in the NYC music scene and Andrew is now a producer (Ween) and is my partner in Obliminal.
The other guitarist in the Groceries, Greg Frey, is now Ween's manager and the bass player Richard Morse (the guy cut off on the far left) leads a very intersting life in Haiti and has a band RAM.

Yeah...that is a great story! Thanks for filling us in. It's great that you have kept up with all of those blokes. I know Gideon still gets together and jams out tunes with some of his old band mates from time to time...I think it's cool!  Those were some great bands you mentioned, too....those must be some very talented musicians.
