Since people keep posting their DJ sets in the 'music' section can you make a different section for them please? They keep cluttering up the music area.
...or make a forum section exclusively for artists posting their tracks because I think the 'music' section is too general and people end up posting about anything to do with music. It feel it takes away from personal artists releases.

If the overall forums were more busy, then yes, adding more sub-forums would be an option. Since this isn't the case, I don't feel adding more sub-forums is the best thing for the forums.
For example - if there was more traffic to the forums for certain root genres, at that point, it would make sense to add sub-forums for those cases.
These postings are not very frequent, and it's easy to skip them - plus, adding a forum would encourage postings of mixes, which I'd rather not do.

I'll assume Absurdist Lover is looking to ignite a classic 'discussion' as to what defines a musician. 
The forums are for people of all types... even DJs!
My general feeling about DJ mixes online... if the DJ or company they are working for has not paid for the rights to distribute the music, they are breaking the law and directly benefiting from the work someone else did without compensation and frequently with no representation. If the mix is not cleared - it shouldn't be shared.
