I'm reminded of the soundtrack to Akira when listening to this. Specifically the tracks "Kaneda" and "Tetsuo". Not sure of the tuning you used, but couldn't help wondering if this tune couldn't benefit from a Japanese style tuning as the instruments/samples used are very reminescent of that style.
