It's been a long/holiday weekend here. The annual Victoria Day Weekend (we get a day off to celebrate Queen Victoria's B-day). Also known as May two-four as it's the official kick-off of the summer season. Took the family for a day trip to Grand Bend (my boyhood home) to check out the sights and sounds. It was VERY cold, and Lake Huron was super rough, but we all enjoyed ourselves none the less. Got some decent shots of the fun and thought I'd share with y'all.

You're right. If there'd been no wind (it was blowin' in from the north west right off the lake) it would've been nice and warm. It was one of those deceptively sunny Ontario days where if you didn't have a jacket you be lookin' for a spot out of the wind to keep warm.

In these parts we have a saying:
"It's not the heat, it's the humidity"
I love hot summer days, but when the humidity makes it all sticky and sweaty and you can't get comfortable no matter what then it sucks monkey balls for sure...
