Problems with the Forums Soon to be Fixed

Some of you may have noticed that the forums haven't been responding from time to time. You'll click on a link - the page loads fine... click another... and nothing... the site's gone.
I host the forums on a separate server with my ISP, and I just spoke with them and they're going to move us to a new server 
This should happen later today - so if you notice the forums down, it's because of the move. You shouldn't experiecne any down time though, as the forums will be up on both servers for a few hrs.

well... delay that... the forums will be moved to the new server soon. My ISP didn't have a box with ColdFusion7 setup, so it may be a day or so.

 I'm still waiting for my ISP - I emailed him this morning asking how long we'll have to wait for the move.
 so sorry about the forums crashing - I know, it's VERY ANNOYING!

 looks like the move of the forums didn't fix the issue - I'll have to work w/ my ISP to gain access to the logs so I can debug what's going on.
Again, I'm sorry for the problems.
BTW... is anyone out there experiencing these problems with the forums not connecting?

Yes... and no...
It's sporadic.
For instance.... I'll be clicking through the forums no problem and then next click... gone. Sometimes I can get around it by manually typing the main/front page address in the address bar and then clicking through to the forums that way, and then other times AE is just gone completely and I have to close IE and restart and other times I have to go and do something else on the net and retry later.
What's especially frustrating is when I've typed in a reply to a thread, hit send and... POOF... no connection.
Hope you can get it figured out soon.

the forums are on a different server than the rest of the site - so it shouldn't cause a problem that way.
I have to talk to my ISP and ask for access to the various log files on the box - otherwise, I can't narrow down what is causing this.
Based on what I'm seeing, it looks to me like the Web Server application is cutting out, or restarting itself - which isn't something my application can capture - only the OS logs can.

Ah! My domain registrar's Website must not have processed the IP change request for the forums. I just got off the phone with my very helpful ISP and found that the domain was still pointing at the old server: 69.43.154.26 when it needed to be: 69.43.154.83
so there's still hope for it being fixed! The IP change should be done in 12hrs or less.
