Hair today, gone tomorrow

After letting my hair grow for 6 years, I finally cut it off. I'm donating the hair to http://www.locksoflove.org/ - which makes hair pieces for children who loose their hair due to medical reasons or treatments.

and for reference - here's what it used to look like - this is a photo with my father and grandfather:

If you know any 'long-hairs' saying, "I'm cutting it off" - point them to Locks Of Love:
Quote:WHAT IS LOCKS OF LOVE?
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

Good for you, Gideon..!!!

I have a great deal of respect and admiration for people that do that sort of thing. Leanne did that very thing last year. Thirteen inches of hair is what she gave up for that cause.
So to you, man!!

I am so proud of my man! But...it was a little weird waking up this morning and wondering who was in our bed.
Gideon's total donation came to just over 14 inches! The dogs are taking it well, but it might take me a little longer to get used to the change. Still, this is what he looked like when I met him, so I think it's cute.

Wo... that's great. I did it about 3 years ago - was just sick of the maintenance and the 'old hippie' vibe. Congrats! Now you need a suit. And a tie. And $500 loafers.

I hope to put the new hair to work soon - I'll let you know
>>Good for you, Gideon
thank you I knew I had to do it - I felt so bad for years about the last cut - which we put in a hole in our yard where we planted a tree. After hearing about LocksOfLove, I thought, "Man... I am lame - what a missed opportunity to help someone in need"

I thought I was this guy:

I have 1 suit - the one from High School graduation still fits prob. And ties... have a few of those, but i have no idea how to tie a tie, so all these years I've left them tied
No - need though, the work schedule isn't changing, I've actually secured a full time contract with a client, so I'll continue working from home. I almost had to head out and get a full-time job - Lou's boss cut her hrs in 1/2 and we were already barely getting by.

I would seriously suggest a new more conservative avatar too. Hopefully one with a tasteful professional vibe.
