Thought I'd show what I've been up to lately in between music breaks:

Making videos has been more fun and interesting than working with audio alone.

My new plan is to do shorter audio tracks using my own visuals, like Roland (ABC) does, that way things don't get tedious, and I'll finally finish some of my favorite wips.

Well Sub, what can I say? Keep up the good work!
At this moment I haven't got much time to do music and video, so I'll stick to music in the first place...but combining vids and music is really exciting to do...

BTW...love that Voyager-sound...

that is one bad ass synth!

What are you syncing it to for the arpeg and drum loop?

since YouTube puts their logo overlay in the bottom right corner, it might work better if you put yours in the bottom left - so their logo doesn't obscure yours.

I know my video work is currently amateur hour, but it's cool because I'm having a blast working with audio and video together. I've got tons of ideas and inspiration for short music videos, audio hardware tutorials, conceptual work like that security camera spider piece. The only downside is it can take ten times longer to work with video then audio. I never seem to have enough time to satisfy my creative drive. Rendering a three minute video can take up to ten minutes, and that's on a quad core, 4GB ram, 10K drive.

Anyhow... Yeah Roland, the Voyager sounds amazing, even better in person. It actually produces certain sounds that you can feel move through your body on a path decided by a component called spacing control. Spacing control is used to adjust the difference between the filters high and low cutoff frequencies. It splits those frequencies right or left audio channels which creates a stereo panning. It sounds really sick with deep rumbling basses or fat and dirty low end leads.

Hey Gideon, it was synced to a MIDI loop created and played in ACID. The drums were added post production.

Woah that moog cranks out some great sound! Very Happy

Could totally see that video on a projector on the side of some building at 2AM at full blast with a small drum circle jamming to it. Dream on- take action- it's all good. I likey!! music...

Thanks Kylo.

I'm going to produce another demo like this, only with a new beat and bpm, around 165 or so.

Damn that's a nice synth.

Cool, right on.

cheers

I'm going to sell my Kurzweil K2000, Korg MS2000 and Yamaha RM1X to get a Waldorf Q+ Phoenix.

I only need one other hardware synth to do lush pads since the Voyager covers basses and leads.

If anyone's interested in any of that gear pm me.
