This photo set is from our trip to Toronto to see the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre (formerly known as The Skydome) yesterday (June 17th).
We took the train to and from so we could all enjoy the ride and I wouldn't have to drive in the chaos that is Toronto and not have to pay like $20 to park.
All sorts of view here. People, sites, street scenes, the Rogers Centre (of course). A real fun time. You should've been there.

Note: my digital camera is like eight years old is only a one megapixel type, so image quality isn't that great. but it's good enough for me.
Enjoy!

Looks like you had a really nice day with your family. I would love to visit Canada and experience some of the sights you shared in your photos. Was it a good game?

Thanks Lou. You know you and Gideon really should come up here. You'd love it. You'd have an awesome time.
And yup... it was a great day, 'cept the Jays lost.
We were sitting in the sun for the entire game and boy oh boy was it farkin' hot!! It must have been 45C where we were. It felt like when you open the oven and you get that initial blast of really hot air? It was like that for three and a half hours. Good thing we brought along the sun-block otherwise I'd look like a boiled lobster today.
And I got a tie for father's day too. They were giving out Blue Jays ties to each father (guy) that came through the gates. Nice ones too. Black with a sort of greyish baseball motif on it and a nice little Blue Jays logo in the centre. Something you could actually wear to the office if you wear such things and had an office to go to.
Funny thing... I was chatting with one of the local Toronto police officers that do security at the games and told him that the entire 114 section (his section) was populated by 500 unruly baseball fans from Stratford, including the Mayor. He asked who was left in charge of the city and I said I'm not sure 'cause the deputy mayor was there too. Got a chuckle out of that one.

It was a long, tiring day, but worth every minute. I just wish my older boys could've been there with us, but they couldn't make it.

yeah - they're an experimental band - they perform with bats, balls, chewing tobacco, and gum.
Each song is fairly short, sometimes only seconds long... and then you wait for the next song to start.
Meanwhile, the audience responds with massive roars of yelling, clapping and whistling.
The performance is more of an odd dance, where the two bands are on the stage together, taking turns with the instruments. Each has their own portion of the audience which is in fact one of the instruments.

So they should be filed under 'Experimental' if I'm not mistaking?

Oddly enough, there was no tobacco chewed or spit during this performance.
