There's snow on the ground and I'll have to scrape the ice off the car windows before leaving for work tonight.
Thank God for heated seats...
But... by next Tuesday it's supposed to be around 17c again.
Yeah... crazy weather....

Maybe it's a dumb question but is the snow there to stay now for sure?

No, no... the snow's gone now.
Right now it's 11c and it looks like it's supposed to rain for the next couple days.
Hopfully we'll get somemore warm weather before the cold stuff is here to stay. I'm not ready for winter yet.

Damn... if it isn't snowing again. Came through a hellish storm this morning on the way home from work and there's a light blanket of white stuff on the ground now.
And it's farkin' cold today too. 3c with a windchill that makes it feel like -1c. That's cold for this time of year.
Damn nor-wester's off lake huron are this time of year.
Oh, well...

How do you like this for a weather report:
----------
AN INTENSIFYING STORM APPROACHING LAKE ERIE THIS MORNING WILL CONTINUE TO STRENGTHEN AS IT REACHES SOUTHWESTERN QUEBEC BY EVENING. IT WILL BRING A HEAVY WET SNOWFALL TO REGIONS NORTHEAST OF GEORGIAN BAY TODAY AND TONIGHT. WET SNOW HAS BEEN FALLING IN MANY OF THE WARNED REGIONS OVERNIGHT BUT WILL CHANGE TO RAIN OVER SOUTHERN PORTIONS FOR AWHILE TODAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL VARY CONSIDERABLY ACROSS THE REGIONS WITH TEMPERATURES HOVERING JUST ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK. ACCUMULATIONS OF 15 TO POSSIBLY 20 CENTIMETRES OF HEAVY WET SNOW ARE LIKELY ESPECIALLY OVER HIGHER GROUND AND NORTHERN LOCALES. THE SNOW WILL TAPER TO FLURRIES LATER ON SUNDAY. STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING UP TO 100 KM/H ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATER TODAY AND PERSIST ON SUNDAY ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHERN AND EASTERN ONTARIO. THIS WILL CAUSE THE FALLING SNOW TO BLOW AROUND AND SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE VISIBILITY IN THOSE AREAS EXPERIENCING THE SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL. POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE AS WELL DUE TO THE WIND AND SNOW LOADING ON TREES AND POWER LINES. THIS WIND EVENT IS PARTICULARLY SIGNIFICANT FOR THE STORM-WEARY NIAGARA REGION WHERE WEAKENED TREE LIMBS FROM THE OCTOBER 12TH STORM POSE A RISK OF CAUSING FURTHER DAMAGE LATER TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY. HEAVY FLURRIES AND BRIEF SNOW SQUALLS ARE FORECAST TONIGHT AND SUNDAY TO THE LEE OF LAKE HURON AND GEORGIAN BAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL NOT BE SIGNIFICANT DUE TO THE WET NATURE OF THE SNOW BUT THE VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO ZERO AT TIMES IN HEAVY SNOW BURSTS.
-------------
And I'm going to Toronto today.
