Blade Runner - Final Cut

It's making me mad how this release keeps getting delayed:

I've also heard that when they bring this huge multidisc/etc package out that they only plan to make it available for a few months (around xmas time) and then pull it again. but that'd be insane. I'd love the full true directors cut, but am loath to pay $90 to get all the other dreck thrown in. hopefully they'll come to their senses on the commercial potential of this and give folks a bit more choice.

if you haven't already seen it, there's a great documentary on Blade Runner at Milk & Cookies called On the Edge of Blade Runner;

They had better be very thoughtful when pricing and marketing their product, otherwise they may lose out bigtime considering video torrents are extremely popular atm.

Thanks for the link btw.

Amazon.com are taking pre-orders for $54.99USD.

Considering what you get in the package that seems pretty fair to me.

Cool, right on.

That's an excellent deal. Thanks for the heads up.

got mine the other day - Bday present showing up in time for xmas - and its well worth the bucks if you dig the movie. personally I could care less about the toys and the case or the 'note' from ridley scott - although Misha really liked the holographic frame of decker from the movie - but the stuff on dvd is killer. I watched documentaries on the movie before but the stuff here gives you real insight as to why its a classic - the fact that all the people involved actually had so much to do with putting the vision together - for example the fact that daryll hanna created the pris character as you see her in the film or that olmos was the one who developed the actual cityspeak.

anyway if you weren't sure, my advice is go for it. Cool, right on.
