Migraines aren't funny

Holy shit, I had this migraine that lasted 33 hours. I could barely sleep, and eventually it spread down into a sharp pain in my neck and really tense shoulders, and my teeth were aching like I hadn't brushed them in years
I was also getting like this pressure behind my eyes asif something was growing in my brain and getting ready to make it's exit through my left eye socket.
Thankfully it's just gone and I'm so relieved I could almost cry. Pretty agonizing and just a bit scary. Usually I just get headaches that go away when I lie down or go to sleep so this was kinda new.

ouch... that sounds serious- You know, I've only had one migraine in my life back in high-school and I remember it was the most miserable thing. I was running for the cross-country team and we were doing mile repeats and I got the chills; had to go sit down. The next thing I knew I needed to go to a dark room and my eyes~ Oh god my eyes felt like they needed to be poked out! I then developed a chest cold after that created lots of flem that bounced off the ground when I spit it out ...
Sorry hat was gross I know, but all I want to say is make sure the next time if you get a bad one sendy, try getting into a quiet dark room; if you did- then good. But the majority of migraines usually occur in the occipital lobe in the back of your head that neighbors the auditorial complex... You might of been doing some composition for fugues on your computer by chance?? Could have been a trigger...
I hope you feel better ma' friend.

Oh...I am so very sorry for you! You are right; migraines aren't funny. And anyone who thinks otherwise should be poked really hard with a stick.
I have suffered from them since I was 5 years old. First memory of a serious migraine involved my highly insensitive kindergarten teacher and me getting sick on her shoes. Since then, I find they come in waves, from one a day to one a month. The worst lasted 4 days. Several times I've had to go to the emergency room and get a wicked shot. The medicine helps, but the cost, drama and wait time of going to the hospital just isn't always worth it. Gideon has gotten very good at 'the drill' and can get me an ice pack, heating pad and 'sick-bowl' within minutes. I do find that a dark, quiet place is best, with heat on my neck and shoulder and ice on my forehead and eyes. The fact that your teeth hurt could mean you were grinding your teeth or just clenching your jaw tightly during the ordeal. Do you happen to remember what you were doing before the migraine began? Could it have been triggered by stress or a food alergy?
An interesting note: Botox shots help! I had been hearing about it for the last 3-4 years, but was way too freaked to try it. This year I had an opportunity to try it out at a huge discount (normally can cost up to $1500!) I had the shots performed by an expert in human facial muscle and nerve structure. Basically, he's the leading doctor in the U.S. for Botox shots for migraines. It was amazing!!!!! 30 shots later I was migraine free...for just over three months. Alas, once the shots wear off, the muscles begin to tighten again and -poof- back come the nasty migraines.
Once more, I'm so sorry you experienced that, Send. Any chance you can squeeze something creative out of it?

Well I just finished Godel, Escher, Bach by Hofstadter, probably the biggest book I've ever read. Maybe that broke my brain
