Auto Subscribe Feature?

When posting I notice the 'Subscribe to Thread' is always on 'yes', but after posting I never get any email notices unless I manually click 'Subscribe' (under the thread next to reply) after I've already posted.
Can it be changed so I never have to click 'Subscribe' again? Half the time I forget to subscribe. I'd like to just receive email notices automatically about new comments in a thread I've started or commented in.

ok - it has been fixed. The form was also changed so the default is 'no' for subscribe.
the original developer has the subscription code in place, they just made a mistake by using the message ID there instead of the thread ID. works now

yes, you need to click on the subscribe button.
the option to subscribe isn't displayed on the reply form. I'll look into adding it.

But that was my original issue, I forget to click the subscribe button half the time and miss a lot of posts. That's why I wanted an auto subscribe feature that would make it so I wouldn't have to do anything extra after posting.

won't be auto - there will be a means to select just like there is when you create a new post

Ha, that defeats the purpose of my entire request then
I wanted a profile option that makes auto subscriptions permanent for all posts.
Ah well, can't have everything I guess.

The subscribe to thread option now displays when replying too. So all you need to do is change it to Yes before submitting your reply.
and - i'm testing it now with this post

Good grief. Traffic here is slow enough that one can monitor the whole board by using the "New Posts" link. (Which, for some reason I can't fathom, now suddenly has a "search" field at its top.)
I'm not complaining; I'm just saying "subscribe" is kinda superfluous in this instance.
On the XKCD boards, yes, it's useful. But that place has thousands of posts per day.

I just don't like the extra button click to subscribe.
I don't stop moving, working, browsing until I get my five hours of sleep every night so faster, simpler, smoother is better for me.

Hi John,
The search box was always on the new Posts page, since I basically took the search page and grafted on a means to output the most recent posts. You can see this by the URL:
new posts: http://forums.artistserver.com/search.cfm?lastvisit=1 search: http://forums.artistserver.com/search.cfm
