Nice sounding synth. Nicely produced video too. Even get some leg action in there (you should play bass pedals).

Thanks Steve.
I made another demo using only my own edited sounds:
The K2000 can make some seriously thick VA sounds.
It's sad to see them selling on Ebay for under $500 these days. It's a truly underrated synth.

nice patches - very rich sounding
I like the demo setup - esp. the red light
makes me want to boot up my hardware although I still don't have a decent main controller

I hope videos like this inspire others to explore hardware more. I'm tired of VSTi's, at least for now
Red is my favorite color obviously, and my entire studio has a very calming effect when all lit up.
Thanks for commenting Gid.

Here's my same synth minus the sampler board, going for $500.00
That's a steal if everything functions right.

That is cheap!
Impressive sounds you´ve programmed and well made videos!
The weird thing is i´d already seen the top one before but had no idea you made it
Remember dreaming about having one in the early 2000´s and ready about the endless possibilities, i.e. 96 oscillators, sequencer, sampler, Fx and V.A.S.T.
Is the K 2000 difficult to program And do you miss her?

It's overwhelming at first since the main manual weights about eight pounds and there's so many features, like routing possibilities, keymapping, algorithms, fx, etc..
Some people may give up trying to program it at all and just stick to the presets, which is a shame because once you learn it's architecture structure it becomes a breeze to program exactly what you want quickly.
I know the K2 so well now I can literally navigate the panel buttons and programming pages blind.
There's even a utility area with hidden binary code, that if screwed with, will leave you with a synth that only plays white noise.
I'm planning to make a K2000 programing video soon, showcasing it's F.U.N. routing and fx.

Not at all, she's about three feet from me. I'll never part with this one.
My first K2000 I fried by sending a guitar amps audio out into the sampling board. White smoke came out from the unit and the display went spastic... then no more sound

I love reading synth manuals and my favourite is for the Nord modular which is over 300 pages. I have probably read the whole thing about 5 times.
I have the micro modular which is probably equivalent to your K2000 (disregarding polyphony & FX mind you) when it comes to the infinite possiblities and only recommended for hardcore synth nerds!
So you still have yours then, good! For me space is an issue when it comes to buying more studio gear, otherwise i would more than likely get one, and a DX-7
You sure did a good job in mastering the K2000´s possibilites and yes Gideon i first saw the video on youtube, i´m often there checking synth demos

Just finished a new K2000 VA tutorial that thoroughly explains the purpose of each algorithms page parameters and the editing process of those parameters:
