Harvest Number 84 For Fall 2010 is [ON-THE-AIR]
I have just completed reviewing the new releases at ArtistServer.com back to the start of summer, 2010, where the last harvest left off, and I have been given to gather the best of all the newest releases at ArtistServer.com, and to mix these into a phenomenal new Program Number 84.0 on Synerdata.Net Radio.
Along the way, I also gathered up some phenomenal finds of older tracks from the best, and hardest working artists, and blended them in, taking us on a finely mixed radio rocket ride through the state of the art in contemporary independent music, most of which is electronic based, here in the vibrant and prolific ArtistServer.com community.
The relocation of the station has been completed and it is now fully operational from Salt Spring Island in Canada, however, we are still awaiting the installment of our usual networking service provider, and so while we are streaming live from an Ethernet service provider, there may be some temporal disruptions to the stream during peak traffic periods, until our regular ADSL connection is installed at the new coordinates.
I am generally on the air live here throughout the North American afternoons, evenings, and nights until four a.m. PST, doing special live mixes and extemporaneous news and other content, and so take the time to tune in to your friendly community radio station to hear a sweet mix of all the finest new tracks of the 21st century!

Oh! Thanks for pointing that out. I did not know that Focalized and AUX are one. I have been playing The Prophet - New Hope, for years, and it's been great to hear newer work!
Keep it up, and thanks for listening!

Wow that's an old song. I have to look in my CDs for that one. Can't remember how it went.
Yeah I'm Focalized, AUX, David Mills and Disposable Sounds Factory. I've had very long stretches of nothing much to do. Though there is a 5 year gap with my work. I've been doing lots of stuff for AUX lately.

The normal professional networking service is to be installed on November 15th at the station's new location, and so while we are waiting I have been streaming a special interim mix, directly from the server in Chicago, sans announcing and URL's, during the North American daytime hours, and only going live in the nights while we are streaming over a temporary (consumer class) ethernet connection.
See you on the air!

Yeah, I always had this thing about how radio stations were all playing either old music, or serving a small handful of big label artists, such that one could not hear new music anywhere. I wanted to hear all the best new releases by all actively releasing artists, finely mixed into a smooth stream, updated regularly, and following the ongoing works of all of the finest artists.
I have to admit, in producing this radio show, I do it as much for myself to listen to, and it's been an incredible journey for the past decade and has produced a priceless, irreplaceable music collection of hand-picked independent music, all of it freely released as promotional currency, by the artists. It's a lot of work to review everything new, and then label the tracks, and then mix them all, and get them on the air, but then it's all worth it to hear everything new by all the best hard working artists.
I just wish I could get a little more time into my schedule for my own music production, which has suffered serious neglect due to the ongoing distraction of running the station. Perhaps in 2011!
Cheers! Gordon.

I am delighted to report that our regular network service has been re-activated in the station's new location of Canada's artist filled Salt Spring Island, and after months of getting moved into the new station location, we are now all systems go with the all new Harvest number 84 (Version 1), from ArtistServer.com.
There have been a number of considerable upgrades to the station, including new systems, redundant networking, as well as an increase in station bitrate from 160k to 192k.
After months in the proverbial garage, we are rolling the station out again, and it is charting at 2-3 in Trip Hop stations at shoutcast.com, presenting high visibility, and a steady flow of new listeners discovering the huge array of phenomenal independent artists which ArtistServer.com serves.
Because Shoutcast.com has created the new Trip Hop station genre, I have been doing up a special hybrid mix of the latest releases in electronic music from ArtistServer.com along with all the best Trip Hop electronica from previous harvests within the community.
I encourage the other artists to make use of this radio program to get your music heard by new fans, and to increase your ArtistServer.com site traffic!
I am doing live nightly programs, and adding more new releases daily.
It rocks, Most Highly!

It has been an awesome, and exciting week on Synerdata.Net Radio!
In addition to upgrading to 192k streaming sound quality, for the Version 2 Mix of Harvest Number 84, I have been given to gather together a vast array of artists from the original mp3com community who are all at artistserver.com, and it might come as a surprise to many to realize that ArtistServer.com is where the community is gathered, and continuing to gather and come together in the wake of the other hosting sides being destroyed by their competition. Here is just a partial list of artists, most of whom are original mp3com community artists, to inspire those who have yet to arrive here.
In this week's live program, we zoom in on the fantastic acoustic electronica of General Fuzz, where we are featuring three album spotlights of work from this collective of talented San Francisco artists, along with hot new releases by the likes of Subtronik, Todd and Tucker, Herbsound, Jack Anderton, Double6Project, Dreamlin, Ned Coleman, and more, as well as a retrospective on the music of SubCity, and the artists they have collaborated with over the past decade.
Each day and night, I continue to add in more hot new releases by ArtistServer.com artists, while one at a time, visiting each of their home sites to zoom in upon the other work they make available online apart from ArtistServer, like the four phenomenal free albums which General Fuzz has made available for download at GeneralFuzz.Net.
Synerdata.Net Radio - Showing the world where the greater independent artist community is regathering in the second decade of the 21st century.
Come and hear what is happening in your community, and most importantly, take part in it, for that is what makes it one!

Progress Report: (Year End: 2010)
I am happy to make this progress report about the phenomenal Harvest Number 84 from ArtistServer.com...
Since going live with the current program, the station has tripled in it's audience sizes and continues increasing in new listeners nightly in having gone to number one in Trip Hop Electronica in the shoutcast.com global station charts in December...
As we proceed towards Harvest Number 85, for Winter 2011, I continue upmixing the best tracks from previous programs into the later versions of the core harvest number 85 from Artistserver, showcasing all the best by everyone.
Once again I would start out with a new base harvest of all the best new releases at Artistserver (since the last harvest), and mix a new show for early 2011 of these, and then once again, proceed to upmix the best tracks from previous programs into the new harvest. I expect to be given to commence reviewing new releases here again any day now.
I have been doing live radio nightly here, and the station has been rocking!
Thanks to Gideon at ArtistServer.com, it has been a banner year here at Synerdata.Net Radio, and the station was moved to gorgeous new coordinates in the Canadian artistic melting pot of Salt Spring Island, and has also seen the addition of new infrastructure and redundant networking, and an upgrade to 192k stream (one more reason to get a premium account!), and tracking indicates the time and conditions are right to launch the newly upgraded station, and all systems are go.
3294 unique listeners have been listening to your tracks and seeing and/or hearing your ArtistServer and HomeSite URL's in the last 30 day trend cycle...
It's been an excellent year of awesome electronica, and other independent music by all the actively releasing artists...
2010 has seen the rise of SoundCloud.com, and the destruction of GarageBand.com, where the record cartels had strategically buried most of the original vast mp3com artist community, and while I was not able to rescue everyone, I was able to harvest a vast cross section of all electronica artists before the community and site were destroyed, and in many cases, their home site URL's or other alternate sites where they may be found.
I have to admit, I am really looking forward to 2011 at the station here, and entirely encourage everyone to USE IT! Get funky, play with your airtime, say what you need to communicate, make the show your own, have fun, because it's your station!
If you want to make sure you get into the program or have special mixing instructions for your tracks, just let me know and I'll make it so...
There's enough room for everyone, on Synerdata Radio!
Here's to a productive and most highly magnified new year! Let's Keep on Rocking!

Awesome post! Thank you for all the work on your station, for supporting the artists, for your use and support of ArtistServer, and a big thank you for acknowledging my work here - all greatly appreciated!
As you've noted the growth of the station, I can add that ArtistSever has also seen growth in the last quarter - bringing us more traffic, more unique visitors, better stats on site tracking services like Alexa, and better stats all around. Some of this is due to the natural rhythms of the Web/humans, while some is directly attributed to some work I've conducted on the site to improve our stats/standings, and of course, some is due to the work at Synerdata radio.
>>>Get funky, play with your airtime, say what you need to communicate, make the show your own, have fun, because it's your station!
I was thinking about how to motivate participation in the station more - one idea I had was to ask the regulars to make a list of 10 tracks they love on the site, with a max of 1 being their own - then submit those to you, and build a show around this.
BTW - you may have noticed that we are growing rapidly in the Rap and Hip Hop genres in the last year. Do you add any of these genres to the station? I'm wondering if we have enough of these genres on ArtistServer to have a station for those genres. BTW - these two genres are THE fastest growing on the site in the last year.
Take care of yourself Gordon, and have a great New Year!

This is fully encouraged, both formally as in a showcase of artist selected tracks by many artists, as well as casually, in spontaneously arising sets... especially where all the tracks in an artist set reflect some ongoing theme throughout the tracks, or some specific style of music.
Here's a little info on how I tend mix the music. When a new track is released by an artist (eg: "Mondays can be different", by Ned Coleman), it is my normal mixing system to follow that track with other tracks which blend with it, both style-wise, and subject-wise, and so I would play a number of past tracks about "Monday(s)" in an array to accompany the new track by Ned, such that the new releases denote the style and subject themes of each new program.
If A BitCrusher makes a track about "Atomics", I would array the most recent hits from past programs about the subject of atomics, forming a coherent set, and matching the style of music as closely as possible...
However, that is only the station's established transcorrelating mixing system, allowing artists to target where in the evolving show they would like their music to appear, but the system is wide open, and so an artist can produce a new track, and then just inform me of how they would like it mixed, and with whatever other tracks they like, either from ArtistServer, or from the station's archives of everything by everyone over the past 10 years, or tracks from other locations, and I would do the footwork to build the set for the artist, so that everyone can ensure their music is presented the way they like on the station. I view these processes as little different from collaborating on producing music together as artists, and so all it takes is a letter or a posting here to lay out a set of tracks, and I would take it from there!
Akinesie recently released a track where he remixed Kraftwerk's "Robots" called Without License, and so it was natural for me to play the original by Kraftwerk leading up into his extended remix and re-engineering of the original, and then proceeding into other robotica electronica, with Wintermute's RUR - Bad Robot, and so on...
The Station is Listed as a Trip Hop station, however it play's almost any kind of independent music, and focuses rather on the artists, and those actively releasing, and working hard to please their audiences, rather than upon individual hits. Over the past decade, thousands and thousands of artists have taken part in station programming, with most producing showcase transcorrelating electronica tracks to showcase their work in high rotation in one of the station's many established and ongoing, growing subject theme strands, while others have become more directly involved by producing pre-packaged sets and mixes which they host, and then upload to the station, like Chris Gardner (aka mp3artists), from back at the original mp3com, who has syndicated his own free mp3 releases radio program on Synerdata Radio, or like Anji Bee, who was producing her famous mp3com radio program "Lovely Ladies of Electronica" on Synerdata before branching to her award winning podcast, as an example of how artists can produce their own shows on Synerdata.
This station serves to get your music heard by music lovers out in the RadioSphere, where most music consumers look for new music, apart from this site, and to bring them here, and to your home pages, bringing in new traffic and new fans of your work, while at the same time, many station operators know I do the hard work of reviewing everything by everyone, and lifting up the best and hardest working artists and tracks of note, and so many program directors listen to Synerdata Radio to hear what's new, to feature on their own stations, while those who record the shows send their recordings onwards to be heard by countless more listeners into the future, all of whom are linked back to your artist pages and home sites.
The more artists who regularly listen to the station the better, for just in listening to the station and getting your tracks on the show (which I make easy), the station climbs the charts, so that you are featured on the number one station, and where the artists together lift the station featuring us up in the charts, so greater numbers of new listeners hear your work, coming in from shoutcast.com, and all the blogs with links to the station, and everyone benefits because the system works when we all work together as a community of dispersed individual artists, each with things to contribute and messages to convey to the public.
This is a full time small business venture for me, and so I am working all day and night in my community service for my part as one of the artists doing the work of reviewing and mixing and lifting all the best and hardest working and promising new artists, and I am here to serve your radio promotion needs, and to ensure no great song goes unappreciated, for it can be a lot of work to produce a great track, and I ensure there is the payback of playback, for your free promotional currency, that the public may hear your free tracks, and come to your site for them, and to buy your CD's, supporting independent artists directly, without any counter-productive middlemen or lawyers laying in wait to sue your fans...
Okay, I have to get ready now for my live (Midnight PST) show...
Feel free to post sets to be featured, in this forum thread, even as Gideon has inspired, or if you wish to spotlight a set of your own tracks, and I'll take it from there...
See you on the airwaves!

Harvest Number 85 for Spring 2011 is now ON-THE-AIR!
I have completed reviewing the new releases at ArtistServer.com since the last harvest, and have an array of great new tracks by ArtistServer.com artists on the air on the number 2 Trip Hop Electronica station at shoutcast.com!
To round out this harvest, I have also visited SoundLift.com, SoundCloud.com, and the home sites of a broad array of the best independent artists of the 21st century to gather up the latest work from the wider community of independent scattered master soundsmiths.
Once again, it is another Trip Hop heavy showcase of new electronic music presenting an up to date cross-section of the best new music by currently active and releasing artist, as well as other great tracks that I have come across in the course of reviewing music for this showcase.
There are over 200 phenomenal tracks on the air here in a trippy, rolling, fun and playful program showcasing the state of the art in electronic music in 2011.
See you on the air!

Harvest Number 86 for Summer 2011 is now ON-THE-AIR!
I have completed reviewing the newest releases in electronica at ArtistServer.com since the last harvest, and have assembled a great new array of work by the hardest working and most talented electronic music artists in this vibrant and inspiring community.
To round out this harvest, and in keeping with the theme of touring other independent artist community sites in each new harvest, I have also visited Jamendo.com and bandcamp.com, to put together one truly delightful new radio show for summer 2011.
Come and join everyone who listens to Synerdata Radio every day, and find your place in the next harvest!
Let's Rock!

Thanks Subtronik. It's always worth the effort, once the hard part of reviewing and harvesting and mixing so much new music so quickly is done.
It's always a surprise to hear what the best of all the newest releases sound like together.
