Okay, I think I'm back for real now. Post your best songs from the last year and I'll listen / give feedback if so desired. Extra points if you post someone else's amazing song.

I can't remember if it was a year ago or not, but I still think that Tetra from Icotec is the best emotional and a brilliant song I've heard so far on AS. www.artistserver.com/icotec
Also, I'm proud of my tune Falling Girl.

Oh, I know Tetra well. Good track for sure. I'm now grabbing this new Icotec album though, so thanks for sending me over to that page.
I'm listening to Falling Girl now. I'm not sure I've heard your work before, so it's good to get an introduction. Some nice ricocheting percussive melody lines in here that remind me of Alcrani a little. The rhythm programming seems pretty good, but I rather wish it would move forward in the mix at some point.

Also S.A. Fred came out with a new project called Landforms. Landforms part 2 is a good one... http://www.artistserver.com/safred
Thank you, yes falling girl is a rather relaxed downtempo song. I was originally going to make it feel a little slower than that but it made itself what it was.

Thanks for all the links Gideon! This new Plat is absolutely epic. I actually heard and complimented Street Fears on the old board. The Janner track is quite decent - I'll have to check out more of their stuff. Confession: I really can't listen to jam bands, so I'm going to pass on the band that reminded you of Phish (after 4 years in Vermont, I still can't take anymore)
I like the minimal "lowercase" effect you have going with Speculatus -- once I cranked up the volume to make out the details at least. I especially like this rhythmic squelch underpinning the whole track. All the percussion has an otherworldly feel, in fact...
You're right, I do like Friendly Exchange. Reminds me a little of the old turbogeek material that I used to like so much... I'm a sucker for acid square synthlines and the handclap loop is a good tether for the song. I also like the feeling of momentum the main breakbeat brings in.
Any more? Bring 'em on.

I think the last studio thing I shared was Cowdeigh. I like it.
and monkeyclaus.org did an audio interview with me immediately following the doormouse/drop in silence show last may. although still I maintain that I come off like my head's in another world at the time...oh wait, it was! heh.
I'll be posting some live video monday too
