AritstServer Now Hosts Music Projects

We have a new service at ArtistServer, where you can create your own music project. Freeware accounts are limited to creating 5 music/remix projects, while those with account upgrades can make as many as they like. Anyone can join your music project, all they need is an account on ArtistServer - which is free.
This is new - it's a BETA launch - please send me a message if you experience any issues or bugs.
We currently have four project types:
* New Song Project - With a 'new song project,' you start with a collection of samples and sounds, or a midi file, or even a concept, whatever works for you. Next, add some rules if you like, maybe even a prize. Be creative!
* Remix - Run a remix project, a great way to promote new releases or revive old ones. Create samples from the individual channels of the original recording when possible. This gives artists more room to be creative with their remix.
* Cover Me - The 'Cover Me' project, is a request for people to do a recreation of your song, known as a cover version. Post any rules and prizes you have, launch it, and promote the contest. Artists can sign up, and post their version of your song. Once the contest is over, you'll pick the winner and grant any prizes you establish. This project is for cover versions, not remixes or mashups.
* Theme Song Contest - A theme song contest is a great way to promote your brand or business. Post any rules or suggestions, launch it, and promote the contest. Artists can sign up, post their version of your theme song. Once the contest is over, you'll pick the winner and grant any prizes you establish.

Music Projects URL: http://www.artistserver.com/projects - this is the home or listing of all music projects.
To view a project, click on the project name or it's icon in the listed available projects.
Once you are viewing a project, you'll see it can be custom designed just like your artist sites. When you create a project, we pre-load your current site design colors and settings for you. There's also a means to join the music project, view participants, and listen to their submissions. Music projects have start and stop dates, so you can schedule them. You can even set the project so membership requires your approval. If you are running a contest, you can select any number of winners, it's your choice.
Once an artist is a participant of your music project, they can submit their song/version/etc. This is done by uploading the song as usual, then visiting the project site, and selecting the song they wish to submit from a list of their songs.
Songs that are associated to a music project will have a new icon displayed next to the play and download buttons. Here is the icon:  Clicking on this will take you to the music project the song is associated with.

I hope you enjoy this new addition to ArtistServer. To get things started, I'll setup a few remix projects for some of my songs.
