It's the holiday season. Time for gift-giving and generosity. In the Judeo-Christian tradition. Really just the Christian tradition. Which I might speculate has some sort of non-Christian roots, attempting to emphasize and strengthen the notion of community and "sharing the warmth" during the coldest and bleakest time of year. In the northern hemisphere.
But don't quote me on that. I'm no historian or religio-symbolistic expert. I'm just speculating here. And you know what else I'm doing? Proposing a CD swap for anyone interested.
Basically, it's a dual-purposed idea. Swap a CD of yours with that of another artist or artists in the gift-giving spirit of the holiday season. You get to sow your musical seeds, and you get some free music out of the deal. It's pretty sweet idea.
If you're interested, you can just respond here in this thread. With anyone else who's interested, you can PM snail mail addresses or figure out some other delivery method. Be creative!
