Video for my track "Gone Forever"

A friend has recently completed a video for my track Gone Forever, which I suppose I'm using as a bit of promotion for my latest album 60° South.
Some of the effects are a little crude - he's far from a professional! - but I think it makes a nice atmosphere, and it's good to get the track out and about. I hope people like it. It's quite suggestive of the melodic ambient direction I've taken for the album (which is on sale from ambientlive.com for a very cheap price ;) )
Cheers!

A very nice piece of ambient, just what I needed right now....
I think the vid is a bit the opposite of how the music sounds...personally I think a more 'fluid'approach would be better to support the music.
Oh...the track ended so suddenly...is this the whole version?

Love the music, the video doesn't do it justice though.
It's a very relaxing, spacey vibe with your signature silky smooth sound quality.

Love that track!! The video's interesting; as for the two together in respect to the other's comments, it seems to match while watching the sky in the beginning. The pixelated image manipulation kind of goes perpendicular to the feeling afterward.
Very lovely though! It inspires me to do a star party for my neighbors.

Yes, I think the video is a little busy myself, but I am of course grateful for him making it - it's got me a few more listeners on YouTube, at least! Thanks for all the kind words, I'm glad everyone's digging the track. The initial chords come from a track I recorded some ten years ago now, sampled that and made a new (and much better!) piece from it. The ending is a bit abrupt on the video, but the track does merge into the next on the album, so it makes more sense that way.
Addendum: He's done another, this time for Ice Shelf, from the same album.

2 nice tracks, really nice chilled sounds. I think my preference is the second track, for audio and video, just prefer the slightly repetitive synth notes, the plinky melodies and the dark fm style sweeps, the tone is also slightly darker and dramatic. The video the first track doesn't work for the music, but it is suitably abstract and wierd, and will probably work for some poeple, better than watching a still image The second video is more effective, works better with the music, the two elements are more in harmony. Both tracks are really nice though
Cheers, Pete

Enjoyed music much, both tracks. Video isn't that great imo, just rather "adequate".

Ice shelf is beautiful, snowscapes (iceburg-scapes) and ambient music always get along so beautifully

I usually know that I enjoyed an ambient piece when I put it on the headphones and forget that it's playing until it ends, and I rarely can think of ways to comment on most ambient tracks. That said, the second piece floated on past and left me calm - very nice!

And a quick one, if anybody fancies a much more upbeat, slightly breaks-ish version of Ice Shelf called Ice Haven from one of my recent live rehearsals, it can be downloaded as part of this compilation.
