ooh how lush!! 2:00 minutes in is totally awesome- My new favorite of yer stuff. I've inhabitually grown to love that vocal sample you throw into the mixes lately.
Dude, this is a fun creation! Kudos and poodles!!

I didn't realize you re-mixed electro parade. Sounds awrsome!

Thanks Kylo
>>I've inhabitually grown to love that vocal sample you throw into the mixes lately.
The vocal sample in this track is the first time I've used it. I extracted it from a video on YouTube.
I think you are referring to the VSTi I've used called "Delay Lama" - it's a chanting monk VSTi where you can modulate the tone, vowel, portamento and reverb/delay effects with knobs, and play the monk's pitch on the keyboard.
you can download your very own virtual monk here: http://www.audionerdz.com/
It looks like this:

>>I didn't realize you re-mixed electro parade. Sounds awrsome!
Thank you - although, I'm not sure if I modified it since it's initial release. If I did, I don't think it changed much.

Hi ABC - thanks for downloading and listing
>>>Ah yes, some samples sounded very familiar to me....
yeah - I do tend to reuse drum/percussion samples, like the bass drop, crash cymbal, the blip, and the 909 kick
glad to hear that there is some weirdness here that appeals to you

I'm no expert on breaks, but this is definitely fun. What vid's the sample from, it works nicely? Yeah, this is really rather well done - excellent sounds all round and a nice mix. Much too dancey for my tastes on the whole (oh I am a bore haha) but sounding great.
Drug use for children has for many an education and with obvious alarm to both parents on the increase almost yearly.

Really like the start. Has a rich analog feel to it. What did you use for that flanged saw sound?
The overall construction sounds pretty tight. Surprised you found time to do something this complex.
Love the square bass sounds. The vocal samples work well here. Personally I would have affected them somehow.
The Delay Lama sound and sequence fits perfectly.
This is a really good style and direction for you. I'd like to see you go even dirtier with breaks.

Thank you - this is the video I pulled the sample from:
>>Yeah, this is really rather well done - excellent sounds all round and a nice mix. Much too dancey for my tastes on the whole
So gald to hear that people like the mix. This was a tough one to get under control with the two bass lines and the bass drops.
Dancey? Yeah, I can see that. I tend to do the 'rock your upper body back-n-forth while bobbing your head to the beat with an occasional side to side movement' myself
Thank you for listening, and for the feedback.
>>>Really like the start. Has a rich analog feel to it. What did you use for that flanged saw sound?
Thanks man - Here's the run down on the synths used:
* MinimogueVA VSTi - square bass (free) * Absynth - filter modulated low bass * Absynth - background synth with delay * Native Instruments KORE Player - arpeggiated and modulated synth (free) * Delay Lama - chanting monk (free)
>>The overall construction sounds pretty tight. Surprised you found time to do something this complex.
This took nearly 3 months to complete, but that was mainly having to work on it for only 10-15 min at a time. Thank you for these comments - tightness and complexity are two of the attributes that make up an ideal track for me.
>>The vocal samples work well here. Personally I would have affected them somehow.
The guy wasn't the best speaker, so I didn't want to tweak him out too much so you could understand him. He's pitched down two steps, has some reverb, and at specific points, has a delay.
>>The Delay Lama sound and sequence fits perfectly.
Thanks! I try not to use him too often, but this time he seemed necessary.
>>This is a really good style and direction for you. I'd like to see you go even dirtier with breaks.
Thanks Sub. More dirt eh? I'll see what I can do. I may have to do an ambient track next, although I have a dub piece that is 1/2 way done.
Thank you for listening to my early demo and to the final, and for the feedback. BTW, the demo you listened to, the reason why it sounded 'off' at times, is because the bass drops are in C, and the song is in D. I fixed this in the final mix.

Interesting track, great sounds and mix, sounds really nice But stylistically a bit rich for me today, I think the complexity is making my mind work too hard! Interesting vocal sample, does a nice job giving the track a spacey, mind altering theme, and the vocal works very well. Second track today with the synthy voice thing, I might have to try out that vst myself
