hi - the new iPhone 3G will be released in the US this Friday - anyone planning to pick one up?

I believe I'll be getting one. Unfortunately, you must have a new mac in order to do develop iPhone applications - so I may have to get a new Mac soon. I don't have a specific iPhone app I'm looking to develop, but I'm sure as soon as I start using the device, my wheels will start turning and I'll get the developer's itch

I'm gonna wait for two years to go by until the price drops by 60%. Seems to be the trend for anything "I-trendy"
I'm actually appreciating anything new coming out in whim of the competition that drops the prices for other things.

Actually, I'd rather buy one of these
"Energizer bunny arrested- charged with battery."

Roger's Communication (the Canadian carrier of the iPhone) claims they will be charging $30/month (plus any applicable fees) and will include 6GB of data transfer.

Its great - i got the first model back in December and this is a free upgrade (impressed with that side of it as i feel they have given a "first-gen" discount). The GPS is a blast and should help me find my way round London a bit better. I also highly approve of the fact it has now got a universal jack so I can listen to music at a higher quality.
My favourite thing so far is the last.fm software that means I can listen to last.fm whilst on the move. (Nice). That and the lightsabre app that means I can swoosh the phone round and make lightsabre noises.

I don't need to play music, download or text message, so no for me.
Edit: Now I'm somewhat intrigued after reading more about it.
